Flat light and a covered sky today, with air barely moving and no real change in pressure. The fish at Lac Agny are likely to sit near any hard bottom among the soft. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Agny lies within the bounds of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec. The ground around here is lake country bush. This is a pocket water of some 5 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list holds plenty of bigger water. Notre-Dame-du-Lac sits 91 km from the bank. For a city, Greater Sudbury is 240 km off. This one is safely inside the county line.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Lac Agny repays a walk before the first cast.
Averages here run 17°C at the top of summer and -15°C at the bottom of winter. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. Ice clears near late April and comes back about late November in a typical year. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. The season on Lac Agny rarely departs from it.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Algonquin, 1.7 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lac Agny in what we hold.
