Lac Adair is one of the Laurentides waters in Quebec. The water sits 330 metres up. It covers about 6 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Saint-Hippolyte is the closest town at 2.4 km. Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne sits 34 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. This one sits near enough to a boundary to be worth checking.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Open biodiversity records for Laurentides list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Read Lac Adair for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Expect July to average close to 19°C, with January the cold end at about -13°C. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. Ice clears near late April and comes back about late November in a typical year. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Plan any trip to Lac Adair around it.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. There is a campsite 960 m from the water. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. If the gate is shut, Lac des Sources at 0.7 km is the nearest alternative. Rules at Lac Adair are worth checking on the day.
