Broken cloud and shifting light today, with an easy breeze from the W and steady pressure. Give inflow corners and shaded margins the first hour at Teare Lake. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

The Algoma entry here is Teare Lake, in Ontario. What surrounds it is taiga. With some 17 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. Roughly 2.3 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. Wawa lies 39 km from the water. Greater Sudbury sits 328 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. No border sits close enough to matter.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Species logged across Algoma include walleye, northern pike and Iowa darter. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Read Teare Lake before you fish it and the day goes better.
The warm month here averages 16°C; the cold one sits at -16°C. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early May. Averages place the thaw at early May and the freeze at mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. It sets the rhythm of the year at Teare Lake.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Webb Lake at 1.1 km is the sensible second choice. None of that is settled for Teare Lake in what we hold.
