Flat light and a covered sky today, with a decent NW wind working the banks and no real change in pressure. The productive water at Little Rush Lake will be around the shaded margin through bright spells. The day peaks in the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Look for Little Rush Lake in Sudbury, Ontario. Land around it is northern bush. This is sizeable water at about 1.39 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. It is among the larger waters listed here for Sudbury. Nearest place of any size is Timmins, 90 km away. Greater Sudbury is the closest city, 175 km away. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Fish documented in Sudbury include smallmouth bass, northern pike and yellow perch. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. Little Rush Lake repays a walk before the first cast.
Expect July near 17°C and January near -17°C on the long-run figures. Cold dominates the calendar on water this far north. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. At Little Rush Lake the season follows that pattern closely.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Failing this one, try Lasucor Lake, 3.2 km away. Signs at Little Rush Lake carry more weight than any list.
