Partly cloudy skies today, with flat calm through the day with the glass holding level. The fish at La Force Lake are likely to sit near the shallows early and the drop later. If you pick one session, make it the evening. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Out in Parry Sound District, Ontario, sits La Force Lake. The setting is pine and birch on every side. It runs to roughly 20 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. The bank runs about 3.0 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. It is low-lying compared with other Ontario water we list. The closest town, Parry Sound, is 22 km distant. Penetanguishene is 42 km away, with Midland at 46 km. Two sets of local rules meet not far from this water.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Across Parry Sound District, recorded fish include smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed, yellow perch and northern pike. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. La Force Lake fishes better once you know its edges.
Temperature averages peak at 19°C in July and bottom out at -9°C in January. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around mid April. Expect the water usable from around mid April until roughly early December. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. La Force Lake runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. There is a launch about 750 m from the bank. A carry of 650 m from the nearest parking is the price of fishing here. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Conger Lake, 1.5 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for La Force Lake in what we hold.
