A closed sky with even light today, with a busy SSW wind on the open water and no real change in pressure. Whatever swims in Bee Lake should be near the shaded margin through bright spells. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

In Ontario, Bee Lake belongs to Parry Sound District. The bank gives way to pine and birch. Small at around 4 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. On size it sits at the modest end of our Parry Sound District list. The town to know is South River, 29 km out. For a city, Barrie is 156 km off. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Public occurrence data for Parry Sound District names smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, northern pike and rock bass. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Work Bee Lake in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Seasonal averages run from -12°C in January up to 18°C in July. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. Expect Bee Lake to follow that timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Elbow Lake sits 0.6 km off and takes the overflow. Rules at Bee Lake are worth checking on the day.
