Solid cloud cover today, with barely a breath of wind with a settled glass. The fish at Abinette Lake are likely to sit near the margins and the shelf beyond them. Block out the hours from afternoon into evening. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Night
You will find Abinette Lake in Sudbury, Ontario. Pine and birch runs right down to the water. At about 53 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. You are looking at roughly 14 km of shoreline, with plenty of water between access points. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Ontario listings. Nearest town is Elliot Lake, 89 km off. The nearest city of size is Greater Sudbury, 146 km away. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Species logged across Sudbury include smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch and Iowa darter. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Fish Abinette Lake to its features, not to its size.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough late April. Ice clears near late April and comes back about mid November in a typical year. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Abinette Lake fishes to that pattern most years.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Where the road in crosses private land, ask first. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. White Owl Lake, 3.9 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Treat Abinette Lake as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
