Steady rain over the water today, with a whisper of wind from the ENE with the barometer flat. Activity on Globe Lake should centre on the shaded margin through bright spells. If you pick one session, make it the evening. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

In New Brunswick, Globe Lake belongs to Queens County. The bank is 113 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 2 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Queens County. For supplies, Grand Bay-Westfield is 14 km out. The big place round here is Dartmouth, 232 km distant. A county line runs close by, so local bylaws can differ within a short drive.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Across Queens County, recorded fish include yellow perch, alewife and pumpkinseed. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. Treat Globe Lake as a water to read rather than to cover.
The warmest month averages 18°C, the coldest about -9°C. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from mid April. From about mid April to around early December, expect open water on the long-run figures. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Globe Lake.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. For a change of water, Deer Lake is 1.8 km distant. Check the current arrangement for Globe Lake.
