Solid cloud cover today, with a helpful ripple pushed from the NW and pressure sitting still. The water to cover at Rosa Lake is bays that hold the day's warmth. A grinding day likely, with the night worth the effort if any is. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Rosa Lake stands in Cariboo Regional District, British Columbia. Pine and birch runs right down to the water. With some 25 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. Roughly 2.3 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. Williams Lake is the closest town at 26 km. 108 Mile Ranch is 47 km and 100 Mile House 58 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
No chart reached our records; the first cast is your sounding. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Cariboo Regional District records list sockeye salmon, Chinook salmon and bull trout among the fish reported. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. The shape of Rosa Lake rewards a slow walk along one bank.
July runs about 15°C on average, January about -8°C. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Ice is part of the season here, ending near early April. Ice usually gives way near early April, and forms again about late November. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. The season on Rosa Lake follows the weather closely.
Our records carry no access rule either way. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. A pier 810 m from here gives a platform over deeper water. Picnic facilities are recorded some 750 m out. Light line and small metal for the trout; a fly rod earns its place on calm evenings. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Felker Lake sits 2.9 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Rosa Lake in what we hold.
