A crisp, open sky after dark, with barely a breath of wind with a settled glass. The water to cover at Judicator Lake is any hard bottom among the soft. Plan around the stretch from afternoon into evening. Keep moving until you find them. Cold air keeps the water sluggish; scale everything down.

Judicator Lake is a Fraser Valley Regional District water, British Columbia side. It sits 36 km in from the sea. Roughly 34 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. About 4.1 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. Yennadon is the closest place, 36 km off. Further out sit Burke Mountain (38 km) and Maple Ridge (38 km). It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Across Fraser Valley Regional District, recorded fish include white sturgeon, sockeye salmon and Coho salmon. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. Judicator Lake responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Climate normals give 15°C for August and -3°C for January. Ice comes and goes from one year to the next. In a normal year the cover is thin and short-lived. March through May is the strongest run, with October and November a second stretch. That shapes the year on Judicator Lake.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. For the trout, small spinners and a box of nymphs cover both approaches. Where the road in crosses private land, ask first. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Should this one be busy, Tingle Lake is 5.9 km off. Signs at Judicator Lake carry more weight than any list.
