Clear overhead with good moonlight, with a working SSW breeze and pressure going nowhere. Fish at Brigham Lake should hold close to structure within a cast of the bank. A grinding day likely, with the night worth the effort if any is. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Brigham Lake lies within the bounds of Cariboo Regional District, British Columbia. This is rolling bush country. The water covers some 13 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. There is roughly 2.6 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. It is a small entry by Cariboo Regional District standards. For a base, 108 Mile Ranch sits 48 km out. Kamloops is the closest city, 163 km away. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. County-wide records name sockeye salmon, Chinook salmon, bull trout, Coho salmon and longnose sucker. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. The near bank of Brigham Lake is often the one people ignore.
Expect July near 15°C and January near -9°C on the long-run figures. Expect a real winter and a strong spring after it. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from mid April. On the long-run averages the water opens up around mid April and starts locking again about late November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Brigham Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. Trout here take small spinners, spoons and, where fly water allows, a nymph or dry. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. Failing this one, try Sting Lake, 5.9 km away. Check the current arrangement for Brigham Lake.
