A closed sky with even light today, with a decent SW wind working the banks and the barometer heading up. Activity on Big Bend Pond should centre on the warm end of the pond. The best of it runs morning through afternoon. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Big Bend Pond stands in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. What surrounds it is rolling bush. This is a pocket water of some 8 acres, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Waukesha County. For a base, Big Bend sits 0.3 miles out. Milwaukee sits 19 miles out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. The boundary is near enough that local access rules are worth double-checking.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. County-wide records name common carp, bluegill, brown trout, rainbow trout and rock bass. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. On Big Bend Pond the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Long-term averages put July at about 71°F and January near 18°F. Winter puts a hard lid on this one. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early April. The open-water window runs from around early April to about mid December in an average year. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. Big Bend Pond runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Big Bend Village Park Boat Landing provides a boat ramp about half a mile away. The nearest car park we can see is half a mile out, so expect a walk with your gear. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. For a change of water, Lake Denoon is 2.8 miles distant. Confirm access to Big Bend Pond locally before you travel.
