Hultman Lake near Lisbon: Fishing Spots, Seasons and Access

• Where to Fish on Hultman Lake

County-wide records name bluegill and white crappie. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. On Hultman Lake the obvious spot is not always the productive one.

  Temperature averages peak at 71°F in July and bottom out at 8°F in January. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Count the season from break-up, usually mid April. Bluegill and other panfish take small jigs or worms under a float near any cover. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. If the gate is shut, Storm Lake at 1.9 miles is the nearest alternative. For Hultman Lake, the notice at the access point is the final word.
