Dull, settled light over the water, with a faint SSE drift and no real change in pressure. On Redwine Lake, work structure within a cast of the bank first. A broad window opens from the day. Commit to the pattern once the first fish shows. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Look for Redwine Lake in the Fayette County part of Georgia. The water sits 804 feet up. Surface area runs to about 17 acres — small enough to read in one session. The closest town, Shannon, is 3.2 miles away. After that come Peachtree City at 5 miles and Senoia at 5.6 miles. A county line runs close by, so local bylaws can differ within a short drive.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. The arms fish better than the open middle whenever the water is up. Look for where the old bank line still shows under the surface. Biodiversity records within roughly six miles include blackbanded darter, bluegill, brown bullhead and redbreast sunfish. Treat it as evidence of what swims in the area. Redwine Lake responds to conditions more than to tactics.
The year swings from about 43°F in January to roughly 79°F in July. The awkward stretch is midsummer, not midwinter. Shade and hour of day matter more than month. March through May is the strongest run, with October and November a second stretch. Redwine Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. Parking within half a mile means no long carry with tackle. For the catfish, fish bottom baits into the deeper holes and let them sit. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Padgett Lake, 1.5 miles away, makes the obvious fallback. Nothing here settles the position at Redwine Lake for certain.
