A closed sky with even light today, with a kind SE breeze on the water with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Hi-Roc Lake should be near bays that hold the day's warmth. The day peaks in the night. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Look for Hi-Roc Lake in the Rockdale County part of Georgia. This is open plain ground. At 12 acres it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. Lakeview Estates sits 3.5 miles from the bank. Atlanta sits 24 miles out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. The county line runs close by, so rules can change within a short drive.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. A reservoir gives you a hard edge, a shelf, and not much else. Held water runs deepest at the wall and shallows back to the inflow. Nearby survey and observation records mention bluegill, chain pickerel and redbreast sunfish. The list reflects reported sightings and surveys rather than what is stocked. Fish Hi-Roc Lake where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
The seasonal spread runs 42°F to 79°F. Heat sets the pattern from late spring onward. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer squeezes it into the edges of the day. March through May is the strongest run, with October and November a second stretch. Plan around that when you fish Hi-Roc Lake.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Rockdale Lake sits 0.2 miles off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Hi-Roc Lake in what we hold.
