Flurries coming and going today, with light air out of the SE and steady pressure. Activity on Johobo Lake should centre on structure within a cast of the bank. A slow day overall; the evening is the best of a quiet lot. Lower the pace and stay patient. The cold will pin fish to deeper, stable water.

Johobo Lake sits within Haines Junction in Yukon. Elevation runs to 918 metres. With some 16 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. Roughly 2.0 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. It is a small entry by Haines Junction standards. The town to know is Whitehorse, 141 km out. Further out sit Skagway (171 km) and Haines (184 km). The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Open biodiversity records for Haines Junction list Arctic grayling, northern pike, lake trout and Dolly Varden. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. Read Johobo Lake for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
The warm month here averages 11°C; the cold one sits at -17°C. The window is narrow, and fish feed hard while it lasts. Winter locks it down, and mid May brings it back. Averages suggest open water from about mid May through to roughly late October. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Plan around that when you fish Johobo Lake.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. Trout here take small spinners, spoons and, where fly water allows, a nymph or dry. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Sockeye Lake sits 2.9 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Johobo Lake in what we hold.
