Full sun on the water today, with a whisper of wind from the NNW with a settled glass. Start the search at Watson Reservoir along secondary points on the windward side. An ordinary day throughout, patience over timing. Change depth before you change anything else. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Look for Watson Reservoir in the Elmsthorpe No. 100 part of Saskatchewan. The surface lies 595 metres up. At some 2.05 sq km it is far too large to cover on foot in a day. There is roughly 23 km of bank, more than one visit can cover properly. Some 54 km away sits Harbour Landing, the nearest settlement. Albert Park follows at 54 km, then Whitmore Park at 55 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. The old creek line under the surface is the feature worth finding. Built water gives depth close in, which suits a bank angler. Fish documented in Elmsthorpe No. 100 include northern pike. The county list is broader than any single water. Watson Reservoir fishes better once you know its edges.
Climate records put July near 20°C and January near -14°C. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Count the season from break-up, usually mid April. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about mid April until roughly mid November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Plan any trip to Watson Reservoir around it.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. For a change of water, Lake of the Rivers is 56 km distant. Nothing on Watson Reservoir should be assumed from this page alone.
