Dull, settled light over the water, with barely a breath of wind and pressure going nowhere. Fish at Anderson Lake should hold close to the seam between weed and open water. Numbers are low everywhere; the middle of the day is the pick of them. Take the small wins and call it early if it dies.

Saskatchewan holds Anderson Lake, in Stony Rapids. It sits in northern bush country. This is sizeable water at about 1.30 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. Shoreline length is close to 8.0 km, and each section fishes a little differently. On size it sits at the modest end of our Stony Rapids list. The closest town, Pelican Narrows, is 430 km distant. After that come Thompson at 462 km and La Ronge at 467 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Across Stony Rapids, recorded fish include cisco, northern pike, round whitefish, lake chub and slimy sculpin. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. At Anderson Lake light and wind decide more than tackle does.
The seasonal spread runs -27°C to 15°C. The ice season is long here and the open one short. Ice is part of the season here, ending near late May. The lid tends to go about late May and return around late October. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. At Anderson Lake the season follows that pattern closely.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Knight Lake at 5.6 km is the sensible second choice. For Anderson Lake in particular, ask before you travel.
