Look for Premier lac Triplet in the Capitale-Nationale part of Quebec. It lies 319 metres above sea level. The water measures roughly 2 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. Most waters listed here for Capitale-Nationale are larger. For a base, Laurentides sits 10 km out. Sainte-Thècle lies 40 km off, La Tuque another 41 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth figures are not published for this one. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. County-wide records name lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker, sauger and channel catfish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. Premier lac Triplet responds to conditions more than to tactics.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 17°C, while January sits near -15°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. The season between ice runs from about late April to late November. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. On Premier lac Triplet that shapes the whole year.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. A landowner's word beats anything printed elsewhere. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. The nearest alternative is Deuxieme lac Triplet, 0.5 km out. Where Premier lac Triplet is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
