Rain moving through today, with a gentle ripple from the SSW with the barometer flat. Give the seam between weed and open water the first hour at Petit lac Misko. If you must go, go in the night. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

The Outaouais end of Quebec holds Petit lac Misko. The ground round it is pine and birch. At roughly 4 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Outaouais. Maniwaki lies 14 km from the water. Further out sit Saint-Raphaël (15 km) and Saint-Boniface (21 km). The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter among the fish reported. The county list is broader than any single water. The shape of Petit lac Misko decides where the fish sit.
Climate normals give 18°C for July and -14°C for January. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. The lid tends to go about late April and return around late November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. The season on Petit lac Misko rarely departs from it.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Should this one be busy, Lac Makwa is 0.8 km off. Treat Petit lac Misko as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
