No direct sun expected today, with a useful NW wind pushing food about and the barometer holding steady. Start the search at Lac Yolande along windblown banks where food collects. A slow day overall; the evening is the best of a quiet lot. Lower the pace and stay patient. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Yolande is a Côte-Nord water, Quebec side. The surface lies 459 metres up. The water measures roughly 7 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. It is a small entry by Côte-Nord standards. Some 54 km away sits Forestville, the nearest settlement. Saguenay is the closest city, 125 km away. Nearby, in order: 1 km away is Lac Marcel, Lac Bosse near enough 1.8 km, 2 km away is Lac Husky, Lac du Calumet near enough 2.1 km and 2.7 km away is Lac Messa. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Survey and observation records for Côte-Nord include logperch. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Anyone new to Lac Yolande should walk it once before setting up.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 16°C, while January sits near -18°C. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from early May. Climate figures give an open season running early May to mid November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Plan around that when you fish Lac Yolande.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac Marcel at 1 km is the sensible second choice. Ask locally about Lac Yolande if anything is unclear.
