Lac Woodstock, Quebec: Fishing Spots and Seasons

  The Outaouais end of Quebec holds Lac Woodstock. The water sits 276 metres up. Surface area runs to about 7 hectares — small enough to read in one session. Val-des-Monts lies 25 km from the water. It is 44 km to Gatineau, the nearest city. • Where to Fish on Lac Woodstock

  Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt among the fish reported. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Lac Woodstock fishes better once you know its edges.
