Showers crossing the water today, with a light chop building from the WSW with a settled glass. Start the search at Lac Tom along points where shallow meets deep. If you must go, go in the middle of the day. Keep baits small and presentations quiet. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Tom is one of the Côte-Nord listings for Quebec. What surrounds it is spruce and muskeg. The water covers some 14 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. The whole outline is near 1.7 km, and most of it is walkable. Some 84 km away sits Saint-Fulgence, the nearest settlement. Beyond it, Saint-Honoré at 86 km and Forestville at 91 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Côte-Nord records list logperch among the fish reported. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Anyone new to Lac Tom should walk it once before setting up.
Averages here run 16°C at the top of summer and -18°C at the bottom of winter. The year here is short and sharp: a long lid, then a burst of open water. Winter locks it down, and early May brings it back. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. Expect Lac Tom to follow that timing.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac de l'Orignal at 0.8 km is the sensible second choice. Nothing on Lac Tom should be assumed from this page alone.
