An even grey lid over the water, with enough SSW wind to stack food downwind and the barometer holding steady. Expect most activity at Lac Therese around the calm side of the wind. Make the night the heart of the trip. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Therese falls in Laurentides, part of Quebec. The setting is northern bush. It measures about 10 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. There is roughly 2.4 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. Supplies mean a trip to Rivière-Rouge, 41 km off. The big place round here is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 141 km distant. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Survey and observation records for Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. At Lac Therese the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -16°C in January. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. The lid usually goes in early May, which opens the strongest weeks of the year. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly mid November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Lac Therese fishes to that pattern most years.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. No slipway, car park or made path shows up nearby in mapping, so treat access as rough. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Failing this one, try Lac de l'Ile, 1.7 km away. None of that is settled for Lac Therese in what we hold.
