Fog sitting on the water this morning, with a consistent blow out of the SSW and pressure sitting still. The productive water at Lac Therese will be around the shallows early and the drop later. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Therese stands in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. The water sits 501 metres up. The nearest town is Saint-Félicien, 48 km away. Saint-Prime is 53 km and Normandin 57 km. Close neighbours run: Lac Ti-Pit a touch under 1 km, Lac du Milieu sits 1.9 km out, Lac Pistol a touch under 2.1 km, Lac Carre sits 2.6 km out and Lac Emma a touch under 3 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Reported across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean: northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. Read Lac Therese for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
July runs about 16°C on average, January about -18°C. The ice season is long here and the open one short. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Averages suggest open water from about early May through to roughly mid November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. The season on Lac Therese rarely departs from it.
Our records carry no access rule either way. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. The nearest alternative is Lac Ti-Pit, 1 km out. Check the position on Lac Therese before loading the car.
