Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with just enough NNW wind to ripple the surface and pressure going nowhere. The water to cover at Lac Tassy is the calm side of the wind. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast. The cold will pin fish to deeper, stable water.

Côte-Nord in Quebec is where Lac Tassy sits. The bank is 361 metres above sea level. It measures some 8.48 sq km, and wind has room to build across it. At about 34 km of edge, most people fish a single area and learn it well. It is among the larger waters listed here for Côte-Nord. The nearest town is Kuujjuaq, 250 km away. Further out sit Labrador City (334 km) and Wabush (339 km). No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Across Côte-Nord, recorded fish include logperch. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. At Lac Tassy the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Averages move between -25°C in January and 12°C in July. Ice holds for a long stretch, so the open weeks matter more here than further south. Look for the thaw near early June; the fishing lifts straight after. From about early June to around late October, expect open water on the long-run figures. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Lac Tassy runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Look for a notice board at the entrance. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Lac du Bassin, 8.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Treat Lac Tassy as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
