A grey, even sky over the water, with a light chop building from the SSW and steady pressure. Expect most activity at Lac Talitre around the shaded margin through bright spells. A tough forecast; the middle of the day offers the only real chance. Keep baits small and presentations quiet. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

The Outaouais end of Quebec holds Lac Talitre. The ground around here is lake country bush. Small at around 5 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. Saint-Boniface lies 87 km from the water. After that come Maniwaki at 99 km and Ferme-Neuve at 105 km. Close by you also have: Lac Arcelot 1.5 km, 1.7 km out stands Lac Robin, Lac Lampyre 1.9 km, 2.3 km out stands Lac Cross and Lac Bergom 2.3 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Species logged across Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. On Lac Talitre that means starting tight and working out.
Between January at about -17°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. Count the season from break-up, usually early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about late November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. On Lac Talitre the same rules apply, with local timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Overnight stays are possible 910 m away. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac Arcelot, 1.5 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Nothing on Lac Talitre should be assumed from this page alone.
