No direct sun expected today, with stillness over the whole water with a settled glass. Give the first drop-off and weed lines the first hour at Lac Stanley. Save your energy for the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

The Mauricie end of Quebec holds Lac Stanley. Height above sea level is 343 metres. It covers about 7 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. La Tuque lies 42 km from the water. Weymontachie is 53 km away, with Laurentides at 92 km. Other water within reach: Lac Lumina just 0.8 km, Lac Juneau after 1.1 km, Lac Henrio just 1.4 km, Lac Mina after 1.4 km and Lac Alla just 1.7 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Public occurrence data for Mauricie names northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Treat Lac Stanley as a water to read rather than to cover.
Long-term averages put July at about 17°C and January near -16°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about late April until roughly mid November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Lac Stanley fishes to that pattern most years.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. If the gate is shut, Lac Lumina at 0.8 km is the nearest alternative. Confirm access to Lac Stanley locally before you travel.
