Squally, thundery weather in the area today, with a kind SSW breeze on the water with the glass holding level. Start the search at Lac Sinus along any hard bottom among the soft. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Lac Sinus lies in Laurentides, Quebec. The country round it is pine and birch from end to end. At 9 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. The closest town, Saint-Boniface, is 62 km distant. Beyond it, Ferme-Neuve at 64 km and Mont-Laurier at 73 km. What else is close: Lac du Bras about 0.8 km, Lac Berlion sits 1 km out, Lac Cercaire about 2.3 km, Lac Systole sits 2.6 km out and Lac Embryon about 2.8 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Fish documented in Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Lac Sinus gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
The range across the year is -16°C to 18°C. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. The lid tends to go about late April and return around late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. On Lac Sinus that shapes the whole year.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lac du Bras at 0.8 km is the sensible second choice. None of that is settled for Lac Sinus in what we hold.
