Rain on and off through the day, with an easy breeze from the WSW and pressure sitting still. Start the search at Lac Savoie along points where shallow meets deep. Quiet conditions all day, with the night marginally better. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Quebec holds Lac Savoie, in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean. It lies 713 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 5 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It sits higher than most water we list in Quebec. Nearest place of any size is Saint-Fulgence, 23 km away. Saint-Honoré is 30 km away, with La Baie at 34 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. At Lac Savoie the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Expect July to average close to 15°C, with January the cold end at about -18°C. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. Winter locks it down, and mid May brings it back. Averages suggest open water from about mid May through to roughly early November. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. The season on Lac Savoie rarely departs from it.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Legendre at 1.1 km is the sensible second choice.
