A closed sky with even light today, with mild air moving in from the S and no real change in pressure. The fish at Lac Saint-Julien are likely to sit near any hard bottom among the soft. Little to get excited about, though the night holds a sliver of promise. Lower the pace and stay patient.

Look for Lac Saint-Julien in Côte-Nord, Quebec. The bank is 615 metres above sea level. This is big water, about 13.36 sq km, and in a wind it behaves like a small sea. The perimeter is close to 94 km, and wind can be flat in one arm and rough in the next. It is among the larger waters listed here for Côte-Nord. The nearest place of any size is Fermont, 94 km away. Then Godefroy, 102 km, and Labrador City, 109 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Côte-Nord records list logperch among the fish reported. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. On Lac Saint-Julien the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
Climate records put July near 14°C and January near -23°C. The year here is short and sharp: a long lid, then a burst of open water. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough late May. Average temperatures cross freezing around late May in spring and again near late October in autumn. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Plan any trip to Lac Saint-Julien around it.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. For a change of water, Lac de la Maison d'Hiver is 6.3 km distant. Nothing on Lac Saint-Julien should be assumed from this page alone.
