A closed sky with even light today, with a kind SSW breeze on the water and no real change in pressure. Activity on Lac Georget should centre on the weed line and any gaps in it. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast. The cold puts a premium on the calmest, deepest water.

Lac Georget lies within the bounds of Côte-Nord, Quebec. It lies 665 metres above sea level. At 8.15 sq km this is proper open water rather than a pond. There is roughly 34 km of bank, and each arm behaves like its own water. Size puts it in the front rank of our Côte-Nord list. For a base, Godefroy sits 70 km out. Saguenay sits 488 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Fish documented in Côte-Nord include logperch. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. Fish Lac Georget where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Seasonal averages run from -22°C in January up to 13°C in July. The freeze holds for the better part of the year. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around late May. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about late May until roughly late October. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Lac Georget fishes to that pattern most years.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. If the gate is shut, Lac de la Chaleur at 5.1 km is the nearest alternative. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Georget for certain.
