Heavy overcast holding through the day, with stillness over the whole water and steady pressure. Whatever swims in Lac Roubia should be near points where shallow meets deep. The day peaks in the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Lac Roubia is a Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean water, in Quebec. The country round it is northern bush from end to end. About 2 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. On size it sits at the modest end of our Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean list. The nearest place of any size is Leblanc, 94 km away. Beyond it, Chibougamau at 100 km and Chapais at 104 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean records list northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish among the fish reported. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. On Lac Roubia the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Long-run averages give July about 16°C and January about -18°C. Winter runs most of the calendar, and everything worth doing happens in the gap. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. Late spring and early autumn carry the year between them. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Roubia.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Pelussin, 0.3 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Confirm before you fish Lac Roubia.
