Steady rain over the water today, with a firm SSW blow and steady pressure. The fish at Lac Robert are likely to sit near inflow corners and shaded margins. The night should out-fish the rest of the day. Take the steady approach over the searching one. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

You will find Lac Robert in Laurentides, Quebec. The surface lies 425 metres up. It covers about 4 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Laurentides. Some 49 km away sits Ferme-Neuve, the nearest settlement. Then Manawan, 52 km, and Mont-Laurier, 65 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. At Lac Robert the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
Long-term averages put July at about 17°C and January near -16°C. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near late April. Break-up sits around late April on average, with the water closing again about late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. It holds true on Lac Robert more years than not.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. If the gate is shut, Lac Edouard at 0.5 km is the nearest alternative. Treat Lac Robert as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
