Lac Richard is set in Outaouais, Quebec. The surroundings are mixed forest. It measures about 14 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. The whole outline is near 2.4 km, and most of it is walkable. Ground here is low by Quebec standards. The closest town, Constance Bay, is 13 km distant. Beyond it, Wakefield at 20 km and Cantley at 24 km. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Depth figures are not published for this one. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Survey and observation records for Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. The near bank of Lac Richard is often the one people ignore.
Climate records put July near 19°C and January near -12°C. Winter shuts the surface down for months. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly late April. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about early December. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Richard.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. The nearest alternative is Lac Racine, 0.9 km out. Confirm before you fish Lac Richard.
