Solid cloud cover today, with a decent SW wind working the banks with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac Reillon are likely to sit near structure within a cast of the bank. A hard day on paper; the night edges the rest. Scale down and fish slowly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Look for Lac Reillon in the Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean part of Quebec. The water sits 400 metres up. At 6 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. For supplies, Leblanc is 90 km out. Then Normandin, 92 km, and Albanel, 97 km. Other water within reach: Lac Joudes at 0.5 km, Lac Hachan a shade over 0.7 km, Lac Canly at 0.9 km, Lac Gissac a shade over 1.3 km and Lac Salien at 1.5 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Lac Reillon responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Climate normals give 16°C for July and -18°C for January. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. The season between ice runs from about early May to mid November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. Expect Lac Reillon to follow that timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. The nearest alternative is Lac Joudes, 0.5 km out. What applies at Lac Reillon may have changed since it was mapped.
