Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a soft SSW wind and pressure going nowhere. The productive water at Lac Puget will be around points where shallow meets deep. Make the night the heart of the trip. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Look for Lac Puget in the Lanaudière part of Quebec. The bank is 499 metres above sea level. At roughly 2 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. On size it sits at the modest end of our Lanaudière list. The nearest town is Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm, 35 km away. Saint-Michel-des-Saints follows at 36 km, then Rivière-Rouge at 44 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Survey and observation records for Lanaudière include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. On Lac Puget a short move beats a long cast.
The range across the year is -15°C to 17°C. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. On average, early May opens the water and late November closes it again. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Plan around that when you fish Lac Puget.
We hold no note on access for this one. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Failing this one, try Lac Englos, 0.6 km away. Where Lac Puget is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
