Dull, settled light over the water, with a whisper of wind from the SW with the glass holding level. Fish at Lac Pue should hold close to points where shallow meets deep. A stay-home graph, with the morning as the one excuse to go. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Quebec holds Lac Pue, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Height above sea level is 362 metres. The water measures roughly 8 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. The closest town, Senneterre, is 101 km away. Val-d'Or lies 102 km off, Barraute another 120 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications. It holds up in poor weather better than open water does.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Abitibi-Témiscamingue records list northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker among the fish reported. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Work Lac Pue in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Expect July near 17°C and January near -17°C on the long-run figures. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough early May. Average temperatures cross freezing around early May in spring and again near mid November in autumn. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. That is the shape of the year on Lac Pue.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Should this one be busy, Lac Ruca is 0.5 km off. For Lac Pue, the notice at the access point is the final word.
