Solid cloud cover today, with a decent SSW wind working the banks and the barometer holding steady. Whatever swims in Lac Pinachois should be near reed fringes and open pockets. The night is where the day comes good. Make the first hour count and build on it. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

You will find Lac Pinachois in Outaouais, Quebec. The bank gives way to rolling bush. It covers about 7 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. The nearest town is Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, 18 km away. Orléans sits 57 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. The shape of Lac Pinachois decides where the fish sit.
The year swings from about -14°C in January to roughly 18°C in July. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. The season on Lac Pinachois follows the weather closely.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Failing this one, try Lac en Croissant, 0.7 km away. None of that is settled for Lac Pinachois in what we hold.
