A grey, even sky over the water, with light air out of the SSE and pressure going nowhere. The fish at Lac Perdu are likely to sit near the calm side of the wind. A slow day overall; the evening is the best of a quiet lot. Lower the pace and stay patient. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Set in Côte-Nord, Lac Perdu is a Quebec water. Height above sea level is 496 metres. Around 55.02 sq km of open water: conditions change from one end to the other. The water reaches back into a network of arms, each one worth a session of its own. It is among the larger waters listed here for Côte-Nord. Head to Godefroy, 188 km away, for anything you forgot. After that come Hauterive at 220 km and Chute-aux-Outardes at 221 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
There is no published depth for this one, so start shallow and work out. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Côte-Nord records list logperch among the fish reported. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. On Lac Perdu the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Long-run averages give July about 15°C and January about -21°C. The ice season is long here and the open one short. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around mid May. The lid tends to go about mid May and return around early November. Late spring and early autumn carry the year between them. Plan around that when you fish Lac Perdu.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. For a change of water, Lac Jean-Paul is 3.6 km distant. Signs at Lac Perdu carry more weight than any list.
