Dull, settled light over the water, with a light chop building from the S with the glass holding level. The productive water at Lac Pelletier will be around shallow cover and weed edges. The day peaks in the morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lac Pelletier sits in Laurentides, out in Quebec. Tidal water begins 33 km from here. Small enough that any disturbance crosses the whole surface. On size it sits at the modest end of our Laurentides list. Prévost sits 3.3 km from the bank. Further out sit Terrasse-des-Pins (4 km) and Piedmont (6.5 km). Others close at hand: Lac Colette after 0.2 km, Lac Suzanne lies 0.6 km on, Lac Parent after 1 km, Lac Saint-Amour lies 1.7 km on and Lac Marois after 1.9 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Open biodiversity records for Laurentides list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. The shape of Lac Pelletier rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Average temperature peaks around 19°C in July and bottoms out near -12°C in January. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly early December. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. The season on Lac Pelletier rarely departs from it.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. P1 holds the nearest mapped parking, 270 m out. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac Colette sits 0.2 km off and takes the overflow.
