Rain on and off through the day, with a helpful ripple pushed from the SSW and the barometer holding steady. Whatever swims in Lac Pelletier should be near bays that hold the day's warmth. Expectations low today; if anything moves, it will be in the night. Lower the pace and stay patient.

Lac Pelletier lies within the bounds of Outaouais, Quebec. It lies 326 metres above sea level. With some 17 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. Head to Saint-Boniface, 58 km away, for anything you forgot. Then Maniwaki, 65 km, and Saint-Raphaël, 72 km. Others within reach: Lac Gallia sits 1.2 km out, Lac Druide within 2.2 km, Lac Berne sits 2.7 km out, Lac Gibeon within 2.8 km and Lac Claw sits 3.5 km out. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Reported across Outaouais: pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Anyone new to Lac Pelletier should walk it once before setting up.
Climate normals give 18°C for July and -16°C for January. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. On average, late April opens the water and late November closes it again. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. Lac Pelletier fishes to that pattern most years.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Gallia, 1.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Treat access at Lac Pelletier as something to verify.
