Wet weather working through today, with a kind SSE breeze on the water and no real change in pressure. Most of the action on Lac Passa should come off points where shallow meets deep. Plan around the stretch from morning through afternoon. Change depth before you change anything else. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Passa is one of the Capitale-Nationale waters in Quebec. Country round the bank runs to lake country bush. A pocket of water where every cast reaches cover. It is a small entry by Capitale-Nationale standards. The closest town, Laurentides, is 20 km away. It is 65 km to Sainte-Foy, the nearest city. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Public occurrence data for Capitale-Nationale names lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon and longnose sucker. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. On Lac Passa the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
July runs about 17°C on average, January about -15°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from early May. Climate figures give an open season running early May to late November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Plan any trip to Lac Passa around it.
We hold no note on access for this one. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Should this one be busy, Lac Levier is 0.3 km off. Check the current arrangement for Lac Passa.
