Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a soft SW wind with the glass holding level. Give the weed line and any gaps in it the first hour at Lac Pare. A grinding day likely, with the night worth the effort if any is. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lac Pare lies in Outaouais, in Quebec. Mixed forest runs right down to the water. Deep River sits 38 km from the bank. For a city, Gatineau is 170 km off. What else is close: Lac Corrigan the better part of 1.3 km, Lac Ladouceur at about 1.5 km, Lac Miller the better part of 1.6 km, Lac Moodie at about 2.9 km and Lac Trudeau the better part of 3.2 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Records held for Outaouais cover pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Read Lac Pare for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Seasonal averages run from -14°C in January up to 18°C in July. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. Break-up near late April, freeze-up near late November: that is the shape of an average year. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. The season on Lac Pare follows the weather closely.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Lac Corrigan sits 1.3 km off and takes the overflow. For Lac Pare, the notice at the access point is the final word.
