A closed sky with even light today, with just enough SW wind to ripple the surface with the glass holding level. Activity on Lac Pare should centre on the shallows early and the drop later. Expect the better fishing from night into morning. Give the likely spots time before moving.

Lac Pare lies within the bounds of Lanaudière, Quebec. Land around it is lake country bush. Surface area is around 23 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. Around 2.6 km of margin, front to back. Head to Chertsey, 9.7 km away, for anything you forgot. Further out sit Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson (17 km) and Rawdon (20 km). A border sits close enough to be relevant to the paperwork.
We hold no depth figure for this one. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Records held for Lanaudière cover pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. On Lac Pare the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 18°C, while January sits near -14°C. The year runs cold to warm and back, with clear transitions. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near late April. Break-up near late April, freeze-up near late November: that is the shape of an average year. Late spring and early autumn carry the year between them. Anyone fishing Lac Pare regularly works to that calendar.
We hold no note on access for this one. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Parking within 600 m means no long carry with tackle. There is a jetty 340 m off, worth knowing on a busy day. You can camp about 540 m away, going by the mapping. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. The nearest alternative is Lac Canard, 1.1 km out. Signs at Lac Pare carry more weight than any list.
