A closed sky with even light today, with an easy breeze from the SW and steady pressure. Lac Charron should fish best around points where shallow meets deep today. The forecast backs the stretch from night into morning. Ride the conditions while they last. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Lac Charron is set in Lanaudière, Quebec. Country round the bank runs to lake country bush. A splashy cast here empties the swim; a quiet one owns it. Our Lanaudière list holds plenty of bigger water. Chertsey at 8.9 km is the nearest place to stop. The big place round here is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 50 km distant. A county line runs close by, so local bylaws can differ within a short drive.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Records held for Lanaudière cover pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Fish Lac Charron where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Average temperature peaks around 18°C in July and bottoms out near -14°C in January. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. On Lac Charron that shapes the whole year.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Monahan, 0.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lac Charron in what we hold.
