Damp, showery conditions today, with just enough SSW wind to ripple the surface and steady pressure. Lac Paquette should fish best around the calm side of the wind today. One clear peak today: the morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Paquette sits within Laurentides in Quebec. Rolling bush runs right down to the water. This is a pocket water of some 8 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Start from Mont-Tremblant, 14 km down the road. The nearest city of size is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 70 km away. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Reported across Laurentides: pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. Work Lac Paquette in sections rather than trying to cover it.
The range across the year is -14°C to 18°C. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. Climate averages put the opening at about late April and the closing near late November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Anyone fishing Lac Paquette regularly works to that calendar.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. No slipway, car park or made path shows up nearby in mapping, so treat access as rough. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Failing this one, try Lac O'Rich, 1.2 km away. Treat Lac Paquette as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
