Showers crossing the water today, with a light chop building from the S with the barometer flat. The water to cover at Lac Pappour is any hard bottom among the soft. If you must go, go in the morning. Treat it as a scouting trip with a rod in hand. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Pappour lies within the bounds of Côte-Nord, Quebec. Everything around it is taiga. At 1.18 sq km this is proper open water rather than a pond. The edge covers about 11 km, enough to hold several distinct areas. The town to know is Godefroy, 29 km out. Fermont is 156 km and Wabush 175 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Fish documented in Côte-Nord include logperch. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. At Lac Pappour the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
The warmest month averages 14°C, the coldest about -20°C. Winter owns most of the year at this latitude. After mid May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Climate figures give an open season running mid May to early November. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. Plan around that when you fish Lac Pappour.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac de la Dandinette, 4.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Signs at Lac Pappour carry more weight than any list.
