A clear night sky over the water, with a mirror surface most of the day and pressure going nowhere. The water to cover at Lac Orle is the weed line and any gaps in it. If you must go, go in the night. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

In Quebec, Lac Orle belongs to Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Height above sea level is 346 metres. The water measures roughly 3 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. On size it sits at the modest end of our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list. For a base, Val-d'Or sits 61 km out. Malartic lies 70 km off, Barraute another 98 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. County-wide records name northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. The shape of Lac Orle rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Climate normals give 17°C for July and -16°C for January. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. The season on Lac Orle rarely departs from it.
The access position is unclear from public sources. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Should this one be busy, Lac Captal is 0.8 km off. None of that is settled for Lac Orle in what we hold.
