Clear overhead with good moonlight, with barely a breath of wind with a settled glass. Fish at Lac Adent should hold close to the shallows early and the drop later. Little to get excited about, though the night holds a sliver of promise. Lower the pace and stay patient. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

In Quebec, Lac Adent belongs to Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Land around it is lake country bush. About 8 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. The nearest place of any size is Val-d'Or, 59 km away. Then Malartic, 68 km, and Barraute, 97 km. Within easy reach: 1.1 km out stands Lac Regain, Lac Doline roughly 1.4 km, 1.6 km out stands Lac Varize, Lac Captal roughly 1.7 km and 1.8 km out stands Lac Monlet. This one is safely inside the county line.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. Fish Lac Adent to its features, not to its size.
The seasonal spread runs -16°C to 17°C. Cold locks it up for a good stretch each year. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. Climate figures give an open season running early May to late November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Lac Adent fishes to that pattern most years.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Failing this one, try Lac Regain, 1.1 km away. For Lac Adent, the notice at the access point is the final word.
